Carlos Fernando Gomez Herrera his painting has always been about the figurative, where man has primacy as such, but that figuration has handled as a pretext to composition, color, atmosphere, the contrast , etc ....

For Carlos Fernando Gómez Herrera is a delight to paint, is enjoy the same trade of developing obra.En is currently very interested in resuming Expressionism because he thinks it's a much more creative language, a language that is easier to read, with which the gene identifies much more because there is no distortion, and that is closer to reality.

desolate passion / tremulous enjoyment
and there is waiting for his destiny ...

A sometimes be a little creepy the hearing of the death of someone, but it never is when it comes to a great man of letters, a teacher of generations and the great American philosopher of civility as it is Mario Benedetti, who died on Sunday May 17 at age 88, leaving the cold mist that is the sadness of his thousands of followers literature.

Benedetti wrote in all genres. He was writer, novelist, playwright, essayist, journalist, poet. Published over 80 books. His poems would be to music and printed on posters. His novels and stories would become blockbusters. His essays, mostly mestizo continent Bills of 1967 - would influence the reading of thousands of young Latin Americans. As a tribute I leave you with one of his best known poems and a video:

Tactics and Strategy

My tactic is to look at you as you are learning

love you as you are.

My tactic is to talk and listen

build with words an indestructible bridge.

My tactic is to stay in your memory
I do not know how or what pretext

but stay in you.

My tactic is

be honest and know that you're free
and we do not sell drills

for the two

no curtain or depths.

My strategy is instead

deeper and more simple.

My strategy is that one day
not know how or know what pretext

finally need me.

sea Bottle

I put these six verses in my bottle into the sea with the secret design
that someday

reach a nearly deserted beach
and uncover child find the
lines and remove pebbles instead of
and relief and warnings, and snails.
